Cornbread Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. Jiffy cornbread mix
    1 egg
    1/3 c. milk
    4 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1/2 c. sweet pickles, chopped
    1 jar \"real\" bacon bits
    1 c. Miracle Whip
    1/4 c. pickle juice
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients together.
    Place in round baking pan and bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Let cool; crumble.
    Combine tomatoes, pepper, onion, pickles and bacon bits; set aside.
    Stir Miracle Whip and pickle juice together.
    Layer in deep serving bowl, beginning with crumbled cornbread, Miracle Whip mixture and fresh vegetables.
    Continue to layer topping with vegetable mixture.
    Chill and serve.
