Chicken Cacciatore(6 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 to 3 lb.) chicken, cut up
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. sliced onion
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    1/3 c. water
    1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 c. sliced green pepper
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
Preparation
    Coat chicken pieces with flour; brown in large skillet in 1/4 cup oil.
    Remove chicken; set aside.
    Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in skillet until transparent.
    Add tomato sauce, water, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper.
    Add chicken; cover and cook over low heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add mushrooms; cook, uncovered, for 15 minutes, or until sauce is at desired consistency.
