Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. pumpkin
1 egg
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. allspice or pumpkin spice
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. nuts (optional)

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and pumpkin; add eggs, then dry ingredients.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
