Sourdough Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in tiny amount of warm water
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Put dissolved yeast into buttermilk.
    Sift flour, sugar, baking soda and salt together.
    Add buttermilk and shortening; mix together and beat well.
    Roll out on lightly floured board to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut place in baking pan.
    Let raise to desired thickness.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for approximately 20 minutes or less (to desired brownness).
