Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. oats
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat egg.
    Stir in buttermilk, brown sugar and shortening. Mix in the remaining ingredients until flour is moistened. Batter may be lumpy.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
