Oatmeal Caramelites - cooking recipe
Ingredients

40 Kraft caramels
6 Tbsp. evaporated milk
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. melted margarine
1 c. milk chocolate chips
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Melt the caramels and evaporated milk in double boiler; set aside.
Combine brown sugar, flour, oatmeal, soda, salt and melted margarine.
Spread 1/2 of this in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Spread caramel over oatmeal mixture.
Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and pecans.
Put rest of the dry ingredients on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
(Cut while lukewarm.)
