Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
4 c. sliced apples
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. cooking oil
1 c. chopped nuts
2 beaten eggs
Preparation

Peel and slice 4 cups apples. Put in a bowl and sprinkle 2 cups sugar over the apples; set aside. Sift together flour, salt, soda and cinnamon. Add to apples. Mix 2 eggs, oil, vanilla and nuts to the apple mixture. Stir until well mixed. Batter will be dry. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
