Green Tomato Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck tomatoes
    4 lb. white sugar
    2 lb. raisins
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Put tomatoes through food chopper.
    Drain off water and replace with the same amount of clear water.
    Scald and drain. Add the balance of ingredients.
    Cook until thick and pour into sterilized jars.
