Fondant Roses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. margarine
    1 tsp. peppermint extract
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. (1 lb.) confectioners sugar, sifted
    food color
Preparation
    In
    large
    bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat margarine, corn
    syrup,
    peppermint extract and salt until smooth. Add confectioners
    sugar
    all at once with wooden spoon, then with hands
    mix\tuntil
    smooth.\tTurn out onto board and knead until mixture
    is
    well
    blended\tand smooth.
    Tint with food color
    and form
    into desired shapes, such as rosebuds, calla lillies or daisies.
    Store in cool place.
    Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
