Drop Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter (2 sticks)
    1 c. milk
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Cream butter, gradually adding sugar.
    Beat well.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    Sift together dry ingredients and add to batter alternately with milk.
    Drop by tablespoons on cookie sheet and bake at 420\u00b0 until lightly browned.
