Lazy Baked Chicken - cooking recipe

6 large chicken thighs
salt
generous amount of black pepper
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Lightly salt and generously pepper chicken on all sides and under the skin.
Place pieces in an 8 x 8-inch baking dish or any ovenproof dish into which they will fit snugly.
Make sure the skin is stretched to cover all the tops. Bake, uncovered, for 35 minutes.
Shut off the oven and allow to continue cooking by retaining heat for another half hour or so. They will still be warm and delicious.
Serves 3 to 6.
