Caramel Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. shortening
2 3/4 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 c. milk
5 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream
margarine
and
shortening.
Add sugar, salt and vanilla.
Cream
well.
Add
half
of
flour and half of milk. Beat at low
speed.
Add
eggs, one at a time, beating at high speed after
each
addition.
Add
the
remainder of flour and milk.
Add baking powder.
Beat at low speed until well mixed. Bake in 3
greased, well floured 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or\tuntil done.
May also be baked in a 13 x 9-inch sheet cake pan or as a pound cake.
