Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 large onions diced
2 poblano peppers diced
butter
1/2 oz. fresh garlic
cumin to taste
1 pt. diced tomato
1 pt. tomato puree
1 gal. chicken stock
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 bundle cilantro chopped
Preparation

Saute onions and poblano in butter.
Do not brown, 4-5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except cilantro and simmer till onions are soft.
Stir in cilantro just before serving.
Serve in bowls with tender tortilla chips and cheese added to bowl at the table. Use monterrey jack or other white cheese.
Use tostitos tender white restaurant style corn chips or other thin, tender fried tortilla chips.
