Kielbasa Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium chopped onion
    1 small head cabbage, shredded
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 c. water
    1 lb. kielbasa, cut into 1/4-inch slices
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in a large pot.
    Bring to a boil and simmer until cabbage is tender, about 15 minutes.
    Add 2 or 3 potatoes, sliced.
    Simmer about 15 minutes more until potatoes are tender. Blend 3 tablespoons flour in 3 cups milk and stir into soup until slightly thickened.
    Add 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese and stir to melt.
