Mad Hatter Cookies(No Baking) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    3 c. instant Quaker oats
    1 c. shredded coconut
    6 Tbsp. Hershey's cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Blend oats, coconut, cocoa, vanilla and salt in a large bowl. In large, heavy saucepan over medium heat, blend shortening, sugar and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 1/2 minutes without stirring. If necessary, raise pan slightly from heat to avoid scorching. Stir in oat mixture. Remove from heat and drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto nonstick cookie sheets or plates. Allow to set. Keep refrigerated.
