Christmas Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped fine
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    whole red cherries
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    2 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted
    whole pecan halves
Preparation
    Blend the softened cream cheese, oleo, sugar and vanilla; add eggs 1 at a time, beating thoroughly after each one.
    Add 2 cups flour with baking powder added.
    Combine cherries and nuts with 1/4 cup flour and fold into batter.
    Grease a tube pan; sprinkle the finely chopped nuts and pour in batter.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Cool 5 minutes in pan and remove.
