Strip Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Stir buttermilk into dry ingredients; blend well. Turn out onto floured surface and knead until smooth and not sticky to the touch. Roll dough 1/4-inch thick; cut into 1/2-inch wide and 3-inch long strips. Drop into simmering soup or stewing chicken. Cover and simmer 12 minutes or until done. Makes 30 small dumplings.
