Flour Sack Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Preparation

This is a very old recipe.
It has no method but be sure to grease cookie sheet.
This cookie got the name \"flour sack\" because after it was baked the woman placed them in a cloth flour sack for storage and hung it from the rafters in the kitchen.
This served two purposes:
It kept out the insects and the children.
