Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    3 1/2 c. chopped apples
    1 c. oil
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. freshly squeezed orange juice
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix sugar and cinnamon; toss with apples and set aside.
    In large bowl, beat oil, sugar and eggs. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Alternately add flour mixture and orange juice to creamed mixture. Generously grease a Bundt pan with shortening.
    Pour 1/3 of the batter into pan then 1/2 of apples; repeat layers, then top with remaining batter.
    Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Serve with Cool Whip or orange glaze made with powdered sugar and orange juice.
