Mamaw Borders' Freezer Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. mashed strawberries
    4 c. sugar
    1 c. hot water
    1 pkg. Sure-Jell
Preparation
    Mix berries and sugar.
    Let stand for 20 minutes, stirring often.
    Mix water and Sure-Jell; bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
    Stir in strawberries and keep stirring for 2 minutes more. This jells very fast, so pour into containers quickly!!
    Once cooled to room temperature, freeze.
