Plantation Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. heavy cream
    1/4 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    2 Tbsp. sweet butter
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Line 2 large cookie sheets with waxed paper.
    In a large saucepan, combine sugar, brown sugar and cream.
    Cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.
    Stir in pecans and cook until mixture reaches the soft ball stage (235\u00b0 to 240\u00b0).
    Remove from heat; add butter and salt.
    Stir vigorously until mixture starts to thicken and becomes cloudy.
