Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 large new potatoes, chopped with skin on
2 - 3 carrots, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 cups milk
6 - 7 slices bacon
2 stalks celery, chopped
1/4 tsp pepper
2 cups half and half
shredded cheese for garnish
Preparation

Cook potatoes and carrots in water until tender.
Drain.
Saute bacon until crisp.
Reserving 2 Tbsp drippings, then discard remainder of drippings.
Crumble bacon.
Saute onion and celery in bacon drippings.
Combine all ingredients, except cheese, and simmer.
You may add cornstarch to thicken.
Garnish with cheese.
