Spareribs With Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can silver floss sauerkraut
    1 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
    1 carrot, cut up
    1 apple, quartered (don't peel)
    1 small onion, cut up
    1 potato, quartered
Preparation
    Split ribs (every other) and wash.
    Salt and pepper ribs. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Turn.
    Bake 15 minutes more until brown.
    Rinse sauerkraut with cold water.
    In large pan, layer with cabbage, carrots, onion, sauerkraut and apple.
    Add ribs. Make a second layer, ending with sauerkraut.
    Add water to cover. Bring to a first boil, then simmer for 1 1/2 hours until sauerkraut is transparent.
