Homemade Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    3 (5 oz.) plain Hershey bars
    1 (8 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 can Pet milk
    2 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped pecans or English walnuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar and milk. Cook until it comes to boiling point. Cook over medium heat for 7 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Break chocolate bars in pieces. Add chocolate bits, marshmallow cream and salt.
    Put this in a large pan.
    Pour half of the hot sugar and milk mixture into mixture, beating well and then rest of hot mixture.
    Beat well. Add nuts and flavoring.
    Pour into a buttered pan. Cool. Cut into squares.
    Makes 5 pounds.
