Louise'S Oven Baked Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
    2 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 onions, chopped
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 beef bouillon cube, dissolved in 1/2 c. water and 1/2 c. wine
    1 stalk celery, cut into 1-inch chunks
    6 carrots, cut into 1-inch chunks
    4 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
    2 tsp. sugar
    5 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
    8 oz. whole fresh mushrooms
Preparation
    Season meat with salt and pepper.
    Arrange in a large casserole.
    Add other ingredients and cover securely.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 3 to 4 hours.
    Do not remove cover from the stew for the first 3 hours.
