Turkey Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground turkey
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
3/4 c. dried kidney beans, cooked or use 1 can kidney beans, drained
1 c. water
1 (14 to 16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/2 to 1 tsp. ground cumin
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
Preparation

In large heavy pot, brown turkey; drain off excess fat.
Add onion, green pepper and garlic; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add beans, water, tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, oregano, cumin and red pepper.
Cover.
Simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
Serves 6.
