Orange-Pecan Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. milk, scalded
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. grated orange rind
    1/4 tsp. fresh grated nutmeg
    about 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    Pecan Frosting
Preparation
    Combine milk, 1/4 cup sugar, shortening and salt in a small mixing bowl; stir until shortening melts.
    Cool to lukewarm (105\u00b0 to 115\u00b0).
    Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl. Stir in 1 teaspoon sugar; let stand 10 minutes.
    Add milk mixture, egg, orange rind and nutmeg; mix well.
    Stir in enough flour to form a soft dough.
