Plain Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Mix flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl.
Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs; mix well.
Add vanilla and milk; mix well.
Gradually add flour, stirring as you add.
Pour into 8-inch greased and floured baking pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Top with your favorite icing.
