Glorified Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 slices day old bread (raisin and cinnamon)
    1/4 c. butter
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 qt. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Butter bread and arrange slices in buttered baking dish about 7 x 11-inches.
    Beat eggs and sugar together.
    Add milk and vanilla.
    Pour half of the mixture over bread.
    Let stand until bread is soaked.
    Cut through bread until it is in 1-inch pieces. Add remainder of egg mixture.
    Bake about an hour at 325\u00b0 or until custard is set.
    Makes 6 to 7 servings.
