Santa Whiskers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. margarine
    3 c. sugar
    7 1/2 c. sifted flour
    6 Tbsp. milk
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. red or green candied cherries
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add flour alternately with milk. Mix thoroughly.
    Add vanilla.
    Dough should be stiff.
    Blend in cherries and nuts by hand.
    Make logs 5-inches and roll in Angel Flake coconut.
    Wrap in wax paper; chill.
    Slice off 1/4-inch slices and place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
    They do not spread. Bake at 375\u00b0 until golden brown, approximately 7 minutes.
