Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. milk
    2 c. corn
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. sugar (optional)
    1 small onion (optional)
Preparation
    To make 16 six-inch pastries, preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Butter a cookie sheet and set aside.
