Family Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head crisp lettuce
    3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
    2 tomatoes, chopped
    1/2 cucumber, diced
    1 medium sized onion or several small green onions, cut
    6 slices bacon
    1 clove garlic, cut
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    dash of sugar
    2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
Preparation
    Prepare the first 5 ingredients for salad.
    Place bacon and garlic in skillet.
    Cook until bacon is crisp; remove garlic. Crumble bacon over greens.
    Add to fat in pan the remaining ingredients.
    Heat to boiling; pour over salad ingredients and toss well.
    Add more salt and pepper if desired.
    Add toasted cubes of bread (croutons) and mix lightly.
    Serve at once.
    Serves 6.
