Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    2 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    9 oz. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Sprinkle 6 ounces (frozen) coconut on greased 9 x 13-inch or 12-inch square pan.
    Mix a box of (yellow) cake mix according to directions on box.
    Pour on top of coconut.
    Bake according to directions on box.
    Heat 2 cups milk, 1 cup sugar and vanilla until sugar dissolves and pretty hot.
    Prick the cake while warm and spoon \"milk and sugar\" over cake.
    Let this cool.
    Spread 9 ounces Cool Whip over top.
    Sprinkle another 6 ounces coconut on top.
