Ingredients

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. boiling water
1 c. butter or margarine
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 lb. dates, cut into thirds
3 slices glace pineapple, cut into wedges
1 1/2 lb. glace cherries, cut into halves
1/2 lb. walnut meat halves
1/2 lb. pecan halves
1/2 lb. Brazil nuts, cut into thirds
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and dry ingredients and soda mixture.
Mix well and add fruits and nuts.
The dough is very stiff; use hands to mix.
Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Keep stored in airtight container. Also can be frozen.
