Gugelhopf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. mace
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
juice and rind of 1 lemon
4 egg whites, beaten
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Beat first 3 ingredients with electric mixer 15 minutes or by hand 30 minutes.
Add flour sifted with mace and baking powder, alternately with milk.
Add juice and rind of lemon, then vanilla, the 4 egg whites (beaten stiff), nuts and raisins.
Bake in your beautiful Gugelhopf pan at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
