French Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. nut meats
    pinch of salt
    1 c. dates
    5 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Beat yolks until light and fluffy.
    Gradually add sugar, then remaining ingredients.
    Add beaten whites of eggs last.
    Bake in shallow pan at 350\u00b0.
    Cut in bars while warm and roll in confectioners sugar.
