Ground Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground round
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 carrots, diced
    1 stalk celery, diced
    2 potatoes, diced
    1 can stewed tomatoes, cut up
    2 c. shredded cabbage
    1/2 can tomato paste
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can consomme
    2 soup cans water
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    fresh ground pepper to taste
    1/4 to 1/2 c. fresh parsley, chopped
Preparation
    In soup pot, brown ground meat and onion.
    Drain all fat.
    Add remaining ingredients except parsley.
    Cover and simmer 40 minutes until vegetables are tender, but still colorful.
    Add parsley and simmer 5 more minutes.
    Serves 4 to 6 people.
