Old Fashion Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 level Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Work together until fine and crumbly.
Add 2/3 cup water and work in.
Add another tablespoon of water or more if needed to make a stiff dough.
Knead well.
Divide into 3 pieces.
Roll real thin.
Cut in desired pieces. Drop one at a time into the broth of boiled chicken.
After adding the dumplings, cover and cook 15 minutes, stirring often.
