Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 or more spoons cocoa to taste
    3/4 c. canned cream and 1/4 c. water or 1 c. milk
    chunk of butter (about 2 Tbsp.)
    1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    peanut butter (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients (except peanut butter) and cook over medium heat, stirring often. Cook to soft-ball stage (when a small amount dropped into a cup of cold water will form a soft ball between fingers). Remove from heat and beat by hand for 1 to 2 minutes. Add about 3 tablespoons peanut butter and mix quickly. Immediately pour into greased (buttered) platter or glass pie plate. When cool, cut into squares.
