London Broil Butter-Wine Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
1 top quality flank steak, about 2 1/2 lb.
3 Tbsp. dry red table wine
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    4 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation
    Preheat broiler.
Place steak on rack with surface 3 inches below heat source.
Broil 3 minutes on each side.
Melt butter in large frying pan.
    Add wine.
    Heat until bubbling.
Cut steak diagonally into thin slices.
(This method cuts across the grain in such a way that it makes the meat more tender.)
    Drop into frying pan.
    Cook 1 minute.
    Remove to hot platter.
Surround with border of hot, cooked rice.
Pour remaining wine sauce over rice and steak.
    Serve at once.
