Carolines' Salt Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c salt
9 c water
2 c vinegar
2 tsp alum
1 gal small whole cucumbers

Preparation

Boil all ingredients except cucumbers together and let cool. Pack cucumbers in jar and pour cooled mixture over then.
