Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 c. Wesson oil
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 large pkg. pitted dates or small pkg.
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients together.
    Cream Wesson oil with sugar.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat eggs and add all dry ingredients and buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Add dates and nuts.
    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Remove from oven and stick toothpick all over to make holes.
    Cover with glazed frosting.
