Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    3 c. sugar
    5 or 6 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/3 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar well; add egg yolks.
    Beat.
    Add 1/2 cup buttermilk, soda dissolved in 1 tablespoon warm water, flour, rest of buttermilk and lemon flavoring.
    Beat good.
    Beat egg whites until stiff; fold in.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 or 30 minutes.
    Line pan with waxed paper which has been greased and floured.
