Batter For Veggies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. cold water
    3/4 c. cornstarch
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    oil of choice for frying
    vegetables of choice: onions, peppers, cucumbers, squash, eggplant, broccoli, etc.
Preparation
    In a small bowl beat egg.
    Add 1/2 cup cold water.
    Add dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
    Dip vegetables in batter and fry in preheated oil until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
