Wonderful Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 9 or 10-inch pie shell
    1 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. allspice
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. lemon peel
    1/2 c. butter
    6 medium sized apples
Preparation
    Line pie plate with pastry.
    Mix sugar, flour, spices and butter with pastry blender until crumbly.
    You may use 1 1/2 teaspoons apple pie spice in place of spices, if desired.
    Spread 1/3 of this mixture over bottom of unbaked pastry.
    Peel apples, core and cut into slices; put in crust.
    Spoon remaining sugar and spice mixture over apples.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 50 to 55 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
