Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. minced onion
1 medium clove garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. oil
1 (12 oz.) jar mild salsa
1 c. water
1 (13 3/4 oz.) can beef broth
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. marjoram
2 c. tortilla strips (cut corn tortilla shells in strips and bake on cookie sheet until crisp)
Preparation

Saut onion and garlic in oil until soft.
Add remaining ingredients except tortilla strips and cheese.
Cook until hot. Place tortilla strips into bowls.
Spoon soup into bowls and sprinkle with cheese.
Serve immediately.
