Crunchy Fried Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 green tomatoes
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. dry breadcrumbs
    1/3 c. margarine
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cut tomatoes into 3/4-inch slices.
    Dip into beaten egg and then in crumbs.
    Melt margarine in large skillet.
    Add tomato slices and cook until brown on each side.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Makes 4 servings.
