Crunchy Pears - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 firm ripe large pears
1/4 c. unsweetened orange juice
3 Tbsp. orange marmalade
2 Tbsp. vanilla wafers
2 Tbsp. chopped almonds
1 c. plain yogurt (low-fat or nonfat)
Preparation

Place oven rack in lowest position.
Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Spray pie plate (9 x 1 1/4-inches), with nonstick cooking spray. Carefully pare pears, leaving stems attached; place on large plate.
Mix orange juice and marmalade; spoon over pears.
Mix wafer crumbs and almonds.
Roll pears in crumb mixture; stand upright in pie plate.
Mix yogurt and remaining sauce from plate; refrigerate.
Bake pears 35 to 45 minutes or until tender when pierced with a fork (baking time may vary due to size of pears). Serve warm with sauce.
Makes 4 servings.
