Mock Whipped Cream - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. superfine sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cook flour and milk in heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until thick.
Pour into a dish and cool.
In a small bowl, cream the butter and shortening with electric mixer for 4 minutes.
Add sugar gradually, beating another 4 minutes.
Add the flour paste; beat 4 minutes.
Add vanilla and blend.
Makes enough for one layer cake.
