Country Raisin Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream
    together
    shortening and sugar.\tBeat in egg and molasses.
    Sift
    together flour, soda, salt and spices and add to creamed
    mixture.
    Mix
    in\traisins.
    Chill
    dough for 1/2 hour. Roll
    into\t1-inch\tballs and roll in additional sugar. Place 2-inches
    apart on greased baking sheet.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Makes 3 dozen cookies.
